Why a Welcome Card Matters

ID: why-a-welcome-card-matters

Formal onboarding usually covers policies, responsibilities, and training. A personal message adds something different—it helps the new employee connect with the people around them.
A welcome card for new employee can include a short greeting, an offer of help, and a positive note about working together.
For example:
"Welcome to the team! We're happy to have you here and look forward to working with you. If you need help getting settled, feel free to ask."
For a returning coworker, keep the message equally simple:
"Welcome back! It's great to have you with us again. Let us know if you need help catching up."
