My truck is too heavy for a standard ramp. Do I need a flatbed or a lowboy trailer? I’m looking for a carrier that handles oversized vehicles without a massive "specialty" markup.

Shipping a dually cross-country definitely requires a specialized carrier because of the extra width and weight. Most standard open trailers can't fit them safely, so you’ll likely need a flatbed or a lowboy. To find companies that offer competitive interstate car towing services comparethecarrier.com/blog/state-to-state-car-towing/ without the massive "specialty" markup, I’d use a comparison tool to see who actually has the right equipment. Make sure to provide exact dimensions upfront to avoid any last-minute price hikes at the loading ramp.
