= Absolute zero
{title2=$0\,\mathrm K$}
{wiki}
<Absolute zero> is the zero of <thermodynamic temperature>, corresponding to $-273.15\,{}^\circ\mathrm C$. For a system with a nondegenerate <ground state>, equilibrium <entropy> approaches zero as <temperature> approaches <absolute zero>. This does not mean that every quantum <degree of freedom> loses its <zero-point energy>. The <entropy> statement and the operational <unattainability of absolute zero> require their respective physical assumptions.
