The study, assessment and psychological treatment of clinically significant difficulties during childhood and adolescence. Developmental understanding, family relationships, school contexts and the young person's perspective affect both assessment and intervention. Evidence from one age range must not be assumed to establish effectiveness across all children and adolescents.
