An <analytical concentration> records the total conserved inventory of a specified component per <volume (thermodynamics)> of <chemical solution>, summed over its relevant <chemical species>. Here $C_T=[\mathrm{HA}]+[\mathrm A^-]$; it is not generally the <chemical equilibrium> <concentration> $[\mathrm{HA}]$ of the undissociated <weak acid>.
