The Beltrami-Klein model realizes the <hyperbolic plane> inside an open Euclidean disk, with <geodesics> given by straight chords. Its metric differs from the Euclidean metric, and angles are generally distorted. The straight chords make <geodesic convexity> especially easy to see.
