A <blue straggler> lies above and blueward of the normal <main-sequence turnoff> of its associated old <stellar population>. Binary mass transfer and stellar mergers can give an old system a rejuvenated, more massive hydrogen-burning <star>. Its position therefore need not imply recent ordinary <star formation>.
