= Brownian displacement conventions

For ordinary long-time <diffusion>, the signed mean displacement vanishes while one-coordinate mean-square displacement is $2Dt$ and the three-dimensional mean-square radial displacement is $6Dt$. An rms distance is neither mean signed displacement nor cumulative path length.
