Capacitor bridge with series loss and a parallel standard arm (source code)

= Capacitor bridge with series loss and a parallel standard arm

Consider two <voltage dividers> across a common source, with impedances $Z_0,Z_1$ in one branch and $R_1,Z_p$ in the other. Equal midpoint <voltage> <phasors> imply $Z_0Z_p=R_1Z_1$. If $Z_0=R_0+1/(i\omega C_0)$, $Z_1=1/(i\omega C_1)$ and $Z_p=(1/R+i\omega C)^{-1}$, then separating real and imaginary parts proves $R_0=R_1C/C_1$ and $C_0=RC_1/R_1$. The topology, especially the parallel standard arm, is essential.
