An inferred arrangement of continental blocks at a specified geological time. Relative rotations must satisfy independent constraints from <paleomagnetism>, <stratigraphy>, <sedimentary provenance>, <metamorphic belts> and dated <suture zones>. Geometric compatibility alone does not establish uniqueness.
