<COPI> is a coat system involved in retrieval toward the <endoplasmic reticulum> and traffic associated with the <Golgi apparatus>. Its coatomer assembly and ARF-family recruitment differ from <COPII>, while sharing membrane recruitment and cargo-selection principles.
