At thermal equilibrium, the antineutrino chemical potential is $-{\mu }_{\nu }$. Its occupation is approximately $e^{-(p+{\mu }_{\nu })/T_{\nu }}$, givingIt is exponentially smaller than the neutrino density; this particle-antiparticle imbalance is a cosmological lepton asymmetry.
