= Cosmological texture

An extended order-parameter winding associated with a nontrivial third <homotopy group> of a <vacuum manifold> in three spatial dimensions. A texture can collapse and unwind when its field leaves the <vacuum manifold>; it differs from a permanent monopole or string core.
