Drying through a fluid's <thermodynamic critical point> to avoid traversing an ordinary liquid-vapor coexistence interface. Removing the receding meniscus can protect compliant microstructures from <capillary force> during release. Solvent exchange and compatibility with the structure remain practical constraints.
