= Crystal momentum

Crystal momentum is the translation quantum number $\hbar k$ of a <Bloch state>. Since $k$ and $k+G$ give the same translation character whenever $G$ belongs to the <reciprocal lattice>, crystal momentum is defined modulo reciprocal-lattice vectors.
