A <cyclic rotation> of a <string> $xy$ is the <string> $yx$, where $x$ and $y$ are consecutive pieces. For example, rotating ABC left once gives BCA. A length-$n$ <string> has $n$ rotation positions, though repeated letters can make some resulting <strings> identical.
