Discrete Fourier mode (source code)

= Discrete Fourier mode

On a cyclic index set of length $n$, the $k$th discrete Fourier mode is the vector with $j$th coordinate $e^{2\pi ikj/n}$. Its real and imaginary parts are the corresponding cosine and sine modes.
