The dual of an <abelian variety> represents algebraically trivial <line bundles> rigidified at the origin. Its group law is <tensor product>. A <group homomorphism> $f:A\to B$ induces $\widehat f:\widehat B\to\widehat A$ by pullback of these <line bundles>.
