= Dynamical diffraction
<diffraction> in which repeated scattering and coupling between transmitted and diffracted beams significantly affect their amplitudes. Electron-diffraction intensity can then vary strongly with thickness and excitation error; it is not generally just the squared single-scattering <crystal basis structure factor>.
