<E. C. Zeeman> developed constructions in geometric <topology>. His paper on <twist-spun knots> studies higher-dimensional knots obtained by rotating a classical knot while adding twists.<Twisting spun knots by E. C. Zeeman>[Original byline and introduction]{ref}
The construction makes knot complements accessible through <fiber bundles> over a circle. A striking consequence is that the one-twist spin is unknotted, even when the original classical knot is nontrivial. The theorem connects an explicit motion of a diagram with the global topology of its complement.<Twisting spun knots by E. C. Zeeman>[Main theorem, section 6, and Corollary 2, p. 487]{ref}
