Eigenvalue multiplicity
= Eigenvalue multiplicity
Geometric multiplicity is the dimension of an <eigenspace>; algebraic multiplicity is its multiplicity as a root of the <characteristic polynomial>. For a real symmetric <matrix> they coincide because it has an orthonormal eigenbasis.
