Physical Review Letters 71, 666–669. Equations (1)–(5) explicitly solve the two-coordinate-coupled-oscillator <ground state>, <partial trace> and effective thermal oscillator spectrum. The effective <frequency> need not equal either bare subsystem <frequency>.
