Fluorescence anisotropy (source code)

= Fluorescence anisotropy
{title2=$r=(I_\parallel-I_\perp)/(I_\parallel+2I_\perp)$}

<fluorescence anisotropy> measures the polarization dependence of emitted <fluorescence> after polarized excitation. It can constrain rotational freedom on the fluorescence-lifetime timescale, but probe orientation, lifetime and partitioning also affect the signal.
