Geoid
= Geoid
An equipotential surface of <Earth> <gravity>, including the centrifugal potential, used as an idealized sea-level reference. <geoid> height responds to long-wavelength <density> anomalies and boundary deformation; local <gravity> and <geoid> height are related but distinct observables.
