The Giesekus model adds the nonlinear anisotropic-drag term $\alpha\lambda\boldsymbol\tau^2/\eta$ to the <Upper-convected Maxwell model>. Positive dimensionless mobility factor $\alpha$ produces shear thinning and a nonzero second normal-stress difference.
