An experimental <physicist> who, with <Robert Vivian Pound>, measured <gravitational redshift> over a laboratory height difference in the <Pound-Rebka experiment>. The <Mössbauer effect> supplies an exceptionally narrow nuclear resonance, allowing a tiny change in <gamma ray> energy to be detected.
