A testing strategy that pools samples to determine which individuals satisfy a binary condition. A negative pool rules out every member, whereas a positive pool requires more information to identify the affected individuals. <Conditional probabilities> and <dynamic programming> can determine an efficient adaptive strategy under a specified model.
