<Hadronization> is the conversion of colored quarks and gluons into color-neutral <hadrons>. It affects exclusive final-state distributions even when an inclusive observable can be approximated through a short-distance partonic calculation. A tree-level partonic <decay width> does not by itself model this conversion.
