Hydrogen–chlorine chain reaction
= Hydrogen–chlorine chain reaction
A radical chain in which hydrogen and chlorine radical carriers alternate between propagation steps. With M-assisted chlorine initiation and recombination termination, radical steady-state balances can give first order in H2 and half order in Cl2 without requiring equal propagation rate constants.
