The monoanionic $\mathrm{C_8H_7^-}$ <coordination ligand> obtained by removing one proton from <dihydropentalene>. An aromatic five-membered portion can bind a <metal> in an eta-five mode while the fused ring retains an uncoordinated <alkene>.
