An experimental <nuclear physicist> who, with <Hans Geiger>, related the range of emitted <alpha particles> to a radioactive substance's transformation period. The <Geiger-Nuttall law> connects the particle's escape energy with the enormous variation in <alpha decay> lifetimes.
