= Kappa symmetry

A local fermionic gauge symmetry of supersymmetric <brane> actions. Since the <kappa symmetry projector> has half rank, the symmetry removes half the embedding fermions. The remaining physical fermions pair with the bosonic worldvolume degrees of freedom.
