A researcher who, with <Wesley P. Wong>, analyzed the effect of <motion blur> on <optical tweezers> measurements. A camera records a time average of a bead’s position during each exposure; fast <Brownian motion> is therefore partially hidden. Their correction recovers the <spring constant> and <diffusion coefficient>, and was checked using both simulated trajectories and a trapped-bead experiment. This is a systematic measurement effect, so collecting more images alone does not remove it.<The effect of integration time on fluctuation measurements: calibrating an optical trap in the presence of motion blur by Wesley P. Wong and others>[Abstract and §§II, IV: exposure averaging, numerical validation and optical-tweezers measurements]{ref}
