The Lefschetz operator of a <Kähler manifold> is exterior multiplication by its Kähler form,
$$
L\alpha=\omega\wedge\alpha.
$$
Its formal adjoint is denoted by $\Lambda=L^*$ and lowers the bidegree of a <differential form> by $(1,1)$.
