At <Lick Observatory>, the Hamilton <spectrograph> records starlight with an imprinted <iodine> reference. The reference tracks instrumental <wavelength> and profile changes during the science exposure. Barycentric correction and a time series of relative stellar shifts then support a dynamical companion model.
