A physical quantity is Lorentz invariant when its value is unchanged under <Lorentz transformations>. Tensor equations can be <Lorentz covariant> while their components transform. Fixed-vector gauge choices need not make covariance manifest, although physical gauge-invariant predictions retain the symmetry.
