If $A\subseteq B$ is an <integral extension>, then every <prime ideal> $\mathfrak p$ of $A$ is the contraction of a prime ideal $\mathfrak q$ of $B$. Thus the contraction map $\operatorname{Spec}B\to\operatorname{Spec}A$ is surjective.
