<Magnetic turbulence> consists of irregular, fluctuating <magnetic fields> coupled to moving <plasma>. Scattering from these fluctuations can randomize a charged particle's direction in the local fluid frame and permit repeated <shock wave> crossings in <diffusive shock acceleration>.
