An experimental <condensed matter physicist> who coauthored measurements of <giant magnetoresistance> in alternating <iron> and <chromium> layers. Applying a <magnetic field> substantially reduced the electrical resistance, attributed to spin-dependent electron transmission between the magnetic layers.
