= Multipolar neuron
{wiki}
A <multipolar neuron> has one <axon> and more than one <dendrite> extending from its <soma>. Many <motor neurons> and <pyramidal neurons> have this organization. Multiple branching <dendrites> provide spatially distributed sites for <synaptic integration>; the label specifies overall shape rather than one unique <neurotransmitter> or firing pattern.<Anatomy and Physiology 2e by J.
