= Null focusing theorem

For a hypersurface-orthogonal null congruence under the <null energy condition> in $D$ spacetime dimensions, an initially negative expansion $\theta_0$ diverges to $-\infty$ within affine distance at most $(D-2)/|\theta_0|$.
