The determinant-one Lorentz group in one space and one time dimension has two connected components. Its identity component consists of boosts
$$
\begin{pmatrix}\cosh\varphi&\sinh\varphi\\\sinh\varphi&\cosh\varphi\end{pmatrix},
$$
and the other component is its negative.
