For $0\leq s\leq1$, pointwise concavity of the <utility function> gives
$$
U((s\theta+(1-s)\eta)X)\geq sU(\theta X)+(1-s)U(\eta X).
$$
Taking <expectations> is legitimate because all three values are finite. \b[Therefore $\boxed{F(s\theta+(1-s)\eta)\geq sF(\theta)+(1-s)F(\eta)}$: $F$ is concave.] Strict concavity is not required and is not asserted.
