= Solution

The <Arzelà-Ascoli theorem> says that a uniformly bounded, equicontinuous family of continuous functions on a compact metric space is relatively compact in the uniform norm. Thus every sequence in that family has a uniformly convergent subsequence, and its limit is continuous.
