The only noninvertible case is $\alpha=0$. Then $\Phi$ is the <orthogonal projection> onto $\mathbf n^\perp$, so
$$
\boxed{\operatorname{im}\Phi=\mathbf n^\perp,\quad \ker\Phi=\operatorname{span}\{\mathbf n\},\quad \operatorname{rank}\Phi=2,\quad \operatorname{nullity}\Phi=1.}
$$
These dimensions agree with the <rank-nullity theorem>.
