= Solution

Assume $X_n\to X$ in $L^2$. The reverse <triangle inequality> for the $L^2$ norm gives
$$
\left|\lVert X_n\rVert_2-\lVert X\rVert_2\right|
\leq\lVert X_n-X\rVert_2\longrightarrow0.
$$
Squaring the norms yields
$$
\boxed{\mathbb E[X_n^2]\longrightarrow\mathbb E[X^2].}
$$
