The map $x\mapsto-x$ is an <involution>, so
$$
\operatorname{QFT}_N^4=I.
$$
If $\lambda$ is an <eigenvalue> of $\operatorname{QFT}_N$, then $\lambda^4=1$. Hence every eigenvalue belongs to
$$
\{1,-1,i,-i\}.
$$
Because $X^4-1$ has distinct roots, the transform is <diagonalizable matrix>[diagonalizable]; which fourth roots occur and their multiplicities depend on $N$.
