= Solution

Under <parallel transport>, the gyroscope spin obeys $u^b\nabla_b s^a=0$, and its freely falling circular orbit is a <geodesic>, $u^b\nabla_bu^a=0$. Metric compatibility therefore gives
$$
u^c\nabla_c(s^au_a)
=(u^c\nabla_cs^a)u_a+s^au^c\nabla_cu_a=0.
$$
Thus $s^au_a$ is constant along the orbit.
