Integrate the <probability density function> over the specified interval:
$$
\boxed{P(2\leq X\leq3)=\int_2^3\alpha x^{-\alpha-1}\,dx
=2^{-\alpha}-3^{-\alpha}}.
$$
The endpoint inclusions make no difference for this continuous distribution.
