= Solution

An interior <stationary point> has vanishing <gradient>:
$$
\boxed{\nabla f(x_0,y_0)=\mathbf0,\qquad f_x(x_0,y_0)=f_y(x_0,y_0)=0.}
$$
For a differentiable <function>, this is the necessary first-order condition for an interior <local minimum> or <local maximum>.
